Ambition is a powerful determination to gain or achieve something, which necessitates hard work and dedication.
I am sure you have heard the phrase “think outside the box” well, ambition takes the box and builds on it or with it. Many people look at the “box” as wasted space and are eager to think outside it. However, the ambitious will ask: “how does this fit into making my vision come alive?” Interestingly enough, we believe that if “life gives us lemons,” we should “make lemon aids,” but we refuse to save the “box.”
Ambition does not simply look at what’s possible; it thinks outside of the realm of possibility and then seeks to make it real! Nevertheless, ambition requires a powerful determination. When the powers of life come against you, it should be no match for your determination. The reality is that life will rise against you, but don’t take it personally. Because if you aren’t willing to have a powerful determination, you won’t get to have a powerful impact. Anyone that wishes to have a powerful impact must also have powerful determination. And be willing to take the box, take the lemons, and create beyond what others have declared possible.
Instead of looking for the road less traveled, carve your own! This challenge the ambitious will accept, and it isn’t for everyone.

To hustle is to have a hunger for greatness. It is to understand that greatness is the revelation of the authentic you and the willingness to bring ’em to life; this requires ambition. It may seem like a big and impossible, unsurmountable, unattainable dream, but so what? Strategy is a defund number of steps necessary to obtain a breakthrough moment. You may be 10 or 100 steps away from your breakthrough moment, but once obtained - who can stop you?
Hard work begets greatness, and greatness begets hard work. You don’t stop working once you have achieved a goal; one goal gives birth to possibilities you never considered or realized were attainable. And along the way, you will always have people that see the cup half full or half empty. The truth is that the cup is 100% percent full, one half has water, and the other has air.
Ambition doesn’t see a stumbling block, just a hurdle it can jump over and a destination on the horizon.
I don’t know why we don’t talk about ambition more often, but we are in a time when ambitious leaders are needed. We don’t need a soft leader. We don’t need leaders that are pushovers. As a good friend of mine would often say, “you gotta have thick skin,” and ambition calls for us to have that never say die attitude. Death is not living your dreams and only seeing them when everyone closes their eyes.
