When we establish a goal, we need individuals who will nourish our vision. However, we also need individuals that will help elevate our vision. How do we elevate our vision? The vision is elevated by the pushback.
The individuals that nourish our vision are those individuals that continuously say "yes you can" even in the face of danger. Even in the moment of adversity, those who wish to nourish your vision will speak life. But when we talk about those who want to elevate our vision, those individuals will force us to think beyond the realm of possibilities.
Often, we will begin to establish a vision of what we'd like to accomplish, but along the way, something occurs in which we begin to develop myopia. Myopia is the inability to see farther ahead. It's as if we reached a limit, and it becomes difficult to see the forest past the trees.
The individuals in our life that will help us elevate the vision are those individuals that are willing to push back. We don't need individuals that will say "yes" or "yes you can," and that's it. We need individuals that will help overcome toxic assumptions or help us how to brace ourselves for the impact of our breakthrough moment.
If you refuse the pushback from those who wish to help elevate your vision, the journey will push back on your vision. This pushback tends to be the kind that provokes feelings of hopelessness and confusion. You can avoid the burning heat by getting under the shade of your tribe, a tribe comprised of those that will nourish your vision and push back.
